I came to yoga in the beginning of 2015 as a way to get in shape for my wedding in the summer of that year. At first my desire for a “yoga body” outweighed the mental calm I experienced during the vigorous vinyasa classes I took. Slowly, I began to realize the positive benefits of a daily yoga practice- emotionally grounded, exploring what my physical body was capable of and an overall sense of wholeness and well-being. I decided to take Ebb & Flow’s teacher training in the fall of 2017 with the intention of deepening my understanding of yoga and my own practice. In all honesty teaching was never something I intended to do…until I decided to do it! I began teaching Community Yoga at the studio, which evolved into teaching Gentle Flow on Sundays and now Sunrise Flow (6 am classes are the best thing since a venti cold brew, with almond milk and 1 pump of classic syrup!) Tuesdays and Thursdays. My Gentle Flow is just that, gentle stretching with a restorative vibe; waking up tired and tight muscles and sleepy bodies. Sunrise Flow is a gently heated class that combines breath-in-movement, allowing the body to be fluid as we flow from pose to pose, your breath acting as a guide. As a teacher my mission is to hold sacred space for my students, offering you the gift of 60 minutes in which you can allow yourself to JUST BE
