Beginners

We’ve all been there, our first yoga class...

Are you nervous? Don’t be. Even the most confident of us were.

First things first though – congratulations on making it this far! It takes courage to try something new, and you should be proud of yourself for stepping outside of your comfort zone.

So what should you expect in your first class, and what do you need to know before stepping into a yoga studio?

WHAT TO BRING
* Yoga Mat, We have mats for sale if you need one! We do have rental mats available, should you need one.  Having your own mat is always best.

* Water Bottle (We have a filtered filling station)

WHAT TO EXPECT

At Ebb and Flow we have some of the best instructors in the area, so you are in good hands. Let your teacher know of any injuries you are working through and any other helpful information they should know about. Don't be surprised to find students chatting it up with each other before class starts, music playing in the background and a welcoming atmosphere where there is no competition, or judgement. Some of our classes are heated, so look at our online schedule to see an updated description of which class you will be attending. For classroom etiquette please click on the classroom etiquette tab above and read about that. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask your teacher or grab another friendly face in class and ask away. We are all in this together!

The spring equinox is that threshold. It’s the breath between seasons: winter finally releasing its grip, and something new beginning to stir.
This workshop is an invitation to meet that moment intentionally.
Over two unhurried hours, we’ll move through guided meditation, embodied movement, and a hands-on creative activity — each one designed to help you arrive more fully in your body, release what the colder months have been holding, and plant a clear intention for the season ahead.

What to expect:

No yoga experience, meditation background, or artistic ability required. Just show up as you are.
